Fill your stomach not only to feel satisfied

Do you know anyone who doesn’t love traveling? Yes, we all do love to travel because it is always a whole new experience. As a regular barbershop visitor, I hear peculiar stories told by Soho NYC barbers every other week. One story about food travel really got me, so I even tried it myself. Why is it so great?

1. Cuisine represents culture

Whenever we travel, the national dishes are just to fill the gaps between sightseeing and listening to a guide, if you are not used to planning your excursions. However, this approach is completely wrong. The traditional food of a certain region directly represents what variety of dishes was made of local natures gifts. It shows the development of a particular nation how their ration influenced their culture.

2. Try the original foods

You can’t say that you’ve ever tried pizza if you have never been to Italy, the same is about sushi, if we are talking about commonly known dishes. In our diverse society, the national foods brought by immigrants were changed according to what our region could offer. Those are great dishes but completely different ones. You can try foreign cuisine only where it originates from.

3. Get in touch with foreigners

The only great way to start a productive conversation with foreigners is to have a meal in their habitual surrounding and with their regular food. It is not a complex plan on how to make foreign friends, but it is utterly better for a person to focus on your dialog in a pleasant ambiance.

Your trips are not to accumulate additional fat, but to feel the taste and positive vibe of a certain country. It may sound a bit odd, but food travel is a more of a mental thing.

Summer Travel 2017: Amritsar – A Divine Experience

19th May 2017: It was a Friday the start of a really long yet life changing journey for me. Started off from home at around 10:30 am. Had booked an Uber for the airport. Well, it was like 20 mins away from my home. But the excitement of starting the journey just made the wait easier. The first stop of your going-to-be-long trip was Amritsar. Amritsar, a historically rich city in the northwest of India founded by the fourth Sikh Guru, Guru Ram Das. Amritsar is since ages been a house to India’s holiest shrine and some really serene sights. So we boarded the flight from the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport at 1:10 PM. You may ask why I left at 10:30. Hey, I live in Mumbai the traffic can just make me miss my flight. It was a Vistara flight (UK-735). I’d really like to appreciate the service and food provided on the flight. You Go Vistara! Reaching Amritsar at around 3:40. As soon as I got down from my flight my first reaction was “Damn, It is HOT!”. It was like about ...
